Exercise can be broadly divided into aerobic (increase your heart rate and breathing), anaerobic (short, fast, high-intensity activities that do not use oxygen), flexibility or mixed.
The table below shows a rough guide for different intensities of different types of exercise, although how intense any exercise is will be dependent on your underlying fitness level:
