Question 1 of 2
1. Question
Claire made plans to take her friends on a day out. They had a brilliant day – they were headed to a nearby town with great shops. Claire managed the drive there with no problems, and the roads were quiet, so she felt confident and happy with how well she did. They got lots of shopping in, and stopped at a café for lunch – Claire took her normal dose of fast-acting insulin before eating. When they decided to head home, Claire felt a bit off. She checked her blood glucose and saw it was 3.2mmol/l. One of her friends was in a rush to get home to see her boyfriend though – so Claire took 3 dextrosol tablets and waited 15 minutes until she felt better before driving back.
Did Claire handle the situation well?
CorrectIncorrect -
Question 2 of 2
2. Question
Two years later, Claire’s parents move house, and she moves in with her boyfriend. She couldn’t afford a car with the insurance, so she doesn’t really drive when she’s at home. After a few years of being together, they decide to go on holiday and travel around Scotland by car. Claire’s boyfriend can drive, so they plan to split the driving, but Claire was planning to pay for the car hire upfront, so it only made sense to hire the car in her name. When she went to pick up the car, however, she was refused – her licence had expired. Now they’d have to change their plans, as only her boyfriend could drive and he’d need regular breaks, since they couldn’t swap off – she couldn’t legally drive.
Could Claire have handled this better?
CorrectIncorrect
